Asteria Festival.
About the Project.
In this project I was tasked to design a landing page to a fictional music festival, inviting people to buy ticket to the performances. we were free to design the entire brand to a music genre of our choosing. Asteria is a fictional EDM music festival placed under the night sky of park Timna, Israel. For the geeks and fantasy lovers united by music.
The name and logo.
The name Asteria means “star” in greek and is also the name of the titan goddess of falling stars and nighttime. Which fits perfectly with the galaxy theme of the festival and it’s mascot. In the logo you can see the alien with the headphones. The hot pink is awake and ready to party, and the ice blue resting “in the zone” (daydreaming to the music).
My Concept.
For my concept I went for a theme I think goes well with EDM which have a strong sci-fi feel to it. My mind quickly went to galaxy otherworldly vibe. As seen below I eventually set on starry aliens followed by a glimpse of my mood board where I grabbed my color palette from. In my opinion this theme match to dancing under the night sky in the desert environment of park Timna.

Color Palette and fonts.
The neon and bold pallete have great contrast against the dark blue background making it eye-catching and interesting. It fits the galaxy theme and commonly seen in sci-fi settings and cyberpunk fashion.

This font is used for titles of sections it’s simple and clean and fits the sci-fi vibe im looking for
Roboto Mono

This font is commonly used on big chunks of texts. still keeping the robotic feel but simple enough to be comfortable to read.
Challenge.
Designing a landing page advertising an EDM music festival with pallete and aesthetic that fits the music genre and fashion of people who go to raves and clubs.
Solution.
Repeated overlapping neon blue and pink frames to make elements pop against the dark backgrounds with a soft glow like that of the glow sticks and bracelets used in those events.

This is the landing page for the fictional EDM music festival Asteria. divided to cool and galactic hero section with the mascot then the attractions the festival offers followed by the list of DJs, testimonials and finally an ad for the most anticipated DJ.
